PEX CHART GLOSSARY

Before you start any ground disturbing work it is vital to locate and prove (i.e. validate) any utilities within a work area. If critical utilities can’t be validated, then alternate solutions must be sought.

The PEX Chart was developed as a reliable workflow process for:

• identifying and validating what utilities might be on a worksite
• determining if those utilities are potentially within the designated work/ground disturbance area – by using existing locating methods and AS5488 to define data accuracy and reliability.
• providing a solid data trail for compliance.
